Membership Class
We encourage the regular attenders of our church to participate, as we will be covering important topics, such as our church distinctives, church governance (congregational vs. elder led), leadership (elders and deacons), members privileges and responsibilities. It will be a good time for those considering joining us to get better acquainted with GCF, and have their questions answered. The class is open to anyone interested, even those who are already members. Those interested in becoming new members, please note the following steps:
- Attend the membership class.
- Complete the new member application (attached). Please print, fill it in and turn in to one of the elders.
- Watch the sermon about baptism by John Macarthur (click on the link) and read our doctrinal statement, available at our website (Part 1 & Part 2), and check the boxes about points of agreement/disagreement on the application sheet.
- Schedule a pastoral meeting with one of the elders, preferably your small group leader.
- Attend the service when we will welcome you as a new member and give you the “Right Hand of Fellowship” (Gal 2:9).
- For those, who haven’t been baptized yet and would like to be baptized in our Baptism offered this spring, please contact us to let us know of your interest.
If you have any questions regarding the process, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
