Michael Lawler was born and raised in Brookfield, Wisconsin. He moved to New York City at the age of 20 to attend music school and pursue a career as a professional jazz musician. Three years later in 2004, the Lord mercifully saved Michael after two fellow musicians told him the gospel of Jesus Christ. From that point on, he grew in his faith at a local church in Manhattan and then moved to Bombay, India in 2006 to serve as a missionary for seven years. He met his wife, Jyoti, in India and got married in 2008. In 2015, they moved to Los Angeles, California where Michael received training in pastoring and expositional preaching at The Master’s Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity in 2019. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in expositional preaching (DMin) at the same seminary.

Michael has had the privilege and joy of serving in a variety of ministries such as pastoring, evangelism, and leading worship music in churches, preaching at senior homes, and teaching a variety of Bible studies. He is thankful and eager to serve the Lord’s church by faithfully preaching God’s Word and shepherding God’s people. Michael and Jyoti have one daughter named Naomi.
